A short film celebrating how far the women’s game has come, since the first ever Women’s EURO in 1984. LinkedIn partnered with the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 and challenged England’s first captain of the Women’s team, Carol Thomas, to a 30 mile walk through history. Over two days, she walked from Mornflake Stadium in Crewe, where the first women’s Euro match kicked off to Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester in time for England’s sold out opening Euro’s match. Along the way, she was joined by other Lionesses and the next generation of England women’s football. These incredibly inspirational women have all contributed to the growth of women’s football throughout the years, and it was an honour to be part of the team capturing their story.
This film and the shorter form content created for the campaign was featured on social channels and on the LinkedIn platform.
